Program Rules and Regulations

Persons who have committed a sexual offense will not be accepted. We are located close to a school, which must be taken into consideration in the case of such offenders. By state law, we are not allowed to accept sex offenders.

Individuals who have health conditions that require medical attention,(hospital, clinical, pharmaceutical, visits, etc.) will not be allowed entry into Expect a Miracle Ministries as we are not medically equipped to take full responsibility for the individual. Your medical condition should be made known to the counselor upon admission to Expect a Miracle. Under no circumstances do we allow mind-altering medication. Other medication for illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. will be kept by the director and distributed according to prescription. Expect a Miracle Ministries is not responsible for doctor visits or refills on prescriptions.

The residents will submit all clothing and possessions for a thorough inspection. All money and personal items of value will be turned in to the director. Random inspections will be conducted at any time it seems necessary.

Expect a Miracle is based on a one-year time period. For the first thirty days of residency, there are no phone calls and visits are not permitted. Correspondence and receiving correspondence is allowed from immediate family members however residents are responsible for his/her envelopes and stamps, etc. After thirty days, an evaluation by appointed staff will determine whether or not visits and/or phone calls will be given. There is no guarantee that requests for phone calls, passes, or visits will be given. All calls and correspondence will be monitored.

All residents are subject to a dress code and must adhere to it. No sagging or gang-affiliated clothing is permitted. Inappropriate clothing will be disposed of upon entering the program. All cell phones, tablets, pagers, laptops/computers, and/or all radios will be stored away.

Any client leaving the program must take all their personal property with them. Any articles left will become the property of Expect a Miracle Ministries.

No resident is to leave Expect a Miracle Ministries or be alone without direct permission from Expect a Miracle Ministries director. All residents are to be in pairs when transitioning from one task to another and/or church services/ activities. No one is able to look for employment, or work while in Expect a Miracle Ministries unless directed differently by the Director.

Drugs and narcotics, alcohol, tobacco, and secular-related paraphernalia are forbidden in the Expect a Miracle Ministries home and/or in the client’s possession while in the Expect a Miracle Ministries program. This is grounds for dismissal. Random testing will be conducted at any time it seems necessary.

All street talk, cursing, backbiting, etc. will stop upon admission into Expect a Miracle Ministries.

If you leave prior to the completion of the program there may be a thirty-day, sixty-day, or up to a one-year re-entry restriction depending on the reason for departure at the discretion of the Director.

Wake us is at 6:00 a.m. and lights out at 11:00 p.m., no exceptions.

Any violation of these policies will result in either disciplinary action and/or expulsion from Expect a Miracle Ministries.
